Musical Instraments

The kids have headed back to school and that means more financial burdens for me. My youngest wants to play an instrument in the band this year and I am doing everything I can to find him something for a fairly cheap price. Problem is, he's not sure what instrument he wants to play yet.

I personally like the Violin It has an amazing sound and wont get old when I'm listening to him "practice" in the house. This one from Heartland America is only $69.99 and comes with protective case, genuine horsehair bow, strings and rosin. That's a price and instrument I can definitely handle.

My son on the other hand really wants to play guitar. He has a mental image of himself becoming the next big rock star, hey, a kid can dream right?! But guitars are really hard to play and I'm worried he'll lose interest before he really gets the gist of it. They say the acoustic guitar is easier to play than electric, so many I'll just start him on that.

And of course my husband wants the boy to follow in his footsteps and play the harmonica. He wont make the band with this instrument but at least it wont break the bank! Although I'm not sure I can handle two harmonica players in our house.

Whatever my son chooses I know I'll be getting his item at the Heartland, best prices around!
