Getting Fit Before the Holidays

It seems like as soon as the weather starts to cool down everyone starts packing on the pounds. I don't know if its the cold weather that makes me not feel very active or the fact that I have to pile on layers anyways, but it never fails, I always seem to gain weight in the winter. That's why this year I am getting fit before the holidays hit!

I recently started walking 3 nights a week. Along with eating right, I know that just 1 hour of activity a day will definitely help with keeping the weight off. These Women's Spira Shoes are the shoes I walk in. They are comfortable and the mesh upper gives my feet lots of breathing space. A good pair of shoes is the first step to getting in shape.

Sometimes while I walk I wear my Ab Transform. So not only am I burning calories while walking but the Ab Transform is helping to firm up my belly fat. It features new and improved technology that's FDA cleared for tightening, toning and strengthening healthy muscles.

Toning the body is really important when you're trying to get into shape. The Ab Circle Pro will make you look and feel like you've just done 100 sit ups but for half the effort. It gets you off the ground and targets your entire core from one side to the other and front to back.

Sometimes walking and running can get old and you need to change your work out often to make sure you don't get bored with it. One of my favorite exercises is bicycling riding. Just an hour on a bike at a fast pace can burn hundreds of calories!

Now is a better time then ever to get in shape. Lose the weight before the pumpkin pie is being baked and the mashed potatoes are getting served.

Music, Music, Music

Listening to music is one of my favorite pass-times. I would love to learn to play the guitar or even the drums, but musical instruments can be so expensive! It definitely helps when you can get a good instrument for cheap, especially when they come with instructional learning DVD's and all the items you need to play.

This violin comes with protective case, genuine horsehair bow, strings and rosin.
And it's only $69.99.

This Keyboard comes with 61 keys for expressive playing, MIDI and XGlite compatibility, auto power-off mode, headphone jack, MIDI in/out jacks for connecting to your computer and more.
It's only $99.99*

This acoustic guitar comes with picks, a case, and a strap.
It's only $99.99

This 7 pieces harmonica set includes a harmonica in all seven major keys: C, D, E, F, G, A, B. Each is electronically pitch tested for accuracy and features a 10-hole plated cover,hand-tuned copper reeds for exceptional tone quality and stainless steel cover.
It's only $29.99

Don't spend hundreds of dollars on musical instruments. Get something that is not only inexpensive but comes with everything you need to be the best musician you can be.

Everything Autumn!

The leaves on my trees have started to fall and it's about time I get prepared for autumn. It seems as though summer always goes by way too fast and before you know it, it's September 18th! I want to make sure I'm ready to go this year when my yard becomes covered in piles of orange and yellow leaves.

Last year I filled my truck up 4 times just to get rid of all the leaves in my yard. I went ahead and got myself a leaf mulcher this year. Once I get all the leaves piled up, I just put them in this mulcher and I have perfectly mulched leaves for my garden. Saves me time and money.

I hate bagging leaves, but I especially hate raking leaves, it takes a toll on my back. This year I'm getting a leaf blower. It's much easier to blow the leaves into a pile rather than spend hours raking them together.

An even easier way to get rid of my leaves is to sweep my yard with an electric sweeper. I have almost an acre of land and it is very time consuming to blow and mulch all my leaves, and this lawn sweeper does all the work for me!

I love autumn, but a lot of yard duty comes with the season. At least this year I'll be completely prepared.

Fall Cooking!

Leaves are starting to fall and the weather is starting to get brisk and one of my favorite parts about fall is cooking. In the summer it's too hot to start up the oven and bake the day away, that's why fall is the best season for cooking.

Nothing warms you up better than a big old bowl of pasta. Everything from spaghetti to fettuccine to home-made mac and cheese. My Pasta Pot does the best job at getting my noodles cooked just right because it has a built in timer. No guessing and no forgetting about my noodles.

Along with cooking dinner meals I enjoy cooking breakfast, and eggs are my favorite. Hard boiled eggs to snack on, scrambled eggs in the morning and omelets with everything in them, who doesn't like eggs? My Egg Genie really does wonders. It even comes with a poaching tray!

Not only does my Egg Genie help me out with breakfast meals, but I recently got this 3-in-1 Breakfast Machine that does it all. This unique machine lets you cook everything from eggs, pancakes & sausage to biscuits, burgers and more.

And we all know that when fall and winter time hits, not everyone has the time to wait for a rotisserie chicken or a turkey to cook, that's why a convection oven is necessary. It cooks like a standard oven, broiler, microwave, toaster oven, rotisserie, grill, deep-fat fryer, convection oven, electric frying pan & electric steamer, all in one. Get everything you want cooked in 50% less time!

What's your favorite thing to cook?

TV's!

My favorite time of year: Football Season. Last night was the season opener of the NFL season and I watched every minute. And what's the number one thing needed while watching all my favorite teams this year? A great TV.

I can't always watch the game at home because sometimes I work weekends. That's why I got this 7" Portable RCA TV. It's perfect for watching the game on the go. With an LCD display that's bright enough to be seen outdoors, on-board speaker, headphone jack, built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery for use anywhere, flip out stand, and a detachable telescoping antenna with magnetic base.

But ultimately, in my opinion you should always be watching the games on a TV no smaller than 40 inches. That's why I have the Apex 40" LED HDTV at home. It has stunning 1920x1080 resolution and 16:9 widescreen format. Only $379.99!

If 40 inches is just too big for you, then this Phillips 32" LCD TV is your next best option. You really can't go wrong with Phillips with its vivid color and remarkable 1366x768 resolution. And it features HD (ATSC) tuner, 16:9 widescreen, pixel plus for better details & crisper images, auto volume level Dolby Digital sound, USB connectivity & HDMI input. 30.7" x 7.4" x 21.9".
With all the television options Heartland America has to offer you'll be sure to be satisfied this football season. Check more TV products here.
